In 1987, after Gary Sullivan graduated from San Diego State University, he
joined Sullivan Systems, and soon became the head technology
officer. Shortly thereafter, Sullivan Systems added multi-room audio and alarm systems to the mix.
In 1990 the Sullivan brothers decided to venture on their own, and founded VIP SYSTEMS, one of the first companies to offer structured
phone, television
and audio wiring, neatly packaged with alarm systems and central vacuum systems.
